The David Kempinski Officially Opens on Tel Aviv’s Beachfront

Kempinski Hotels announced the opening of The David Kempinski Tel Aviv, the brand's 80th global opening and the first property in Israel. Housed in a 34-story skyscraper designed by Feigin Architects, the 250-room property opened to guests on April 12, on the heels of the recent announcement of Israel's borders opening to international tourism.

Among the property's highlights are 56 suites with magnificent views of the Mediterranean and floor-to-ceiling windows that allow guests to soak in the natural light of the region. These include the property’s triplex-penthouse suite, the largest of its kind in Tel Aviv and spanning more than 370 square meters with panoramic sea views showcased through six-meter floor-to-ceiling windows. The penthouse includes two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, living space and dining room, a gym, and a private terrace with a 10-meter infinity pool.

Chef Mor Cohen oversees five kosher dining venues spread across multiple floors in the hotel, each with a distinct offering: Sereia Restaurant, a high-end fish restaurant with a selection of fresh catches of the day; Sereia Lounge, offering a health-driven menu and delectable pastries; Horizon Lounge on the 22nd floor, an exclusive space available for select rooms and suites with round-the-clock food service, business facilities and lounging spaces including outdoor seating; the Pool Bar, offering light snacks and refreshing drinks overlooking the majestic infinity pool facing the Mediterranean; and the Common Bar, a two-in-one bar concept that includes a Cohiba Atmosphere-branded cigar bar as well as Israel's first House of Macallan whisky bar.

One of the hotel's most enticing offerings is the rooftop private pool and full-serviced lounge restaurant and bar, reserved exclusively for the hotel's Signature Suite guests. Launching in July 2022, the rooftop will transform in the evenings into Cloud51, a dining bar venue primed to become one of the city's nightlife hotspots.

Set in the heart of Tel Aviv's "tayelet" (the city's boardwalk), The David Kempinski Tel Aviv is steps away from the city's outdoor sports and water activities, including standup paddle boarding and surfing lessons, bicycle and running tours, and open-air yoga sessions. With its direct access to the beach, the property offers a beach pack that includes towels, sunscreen, snacks and refreshments.

"With the opening of its 80th hotel and entry into one of the world's most exciting destinations, The David Kempinski Tel Aviv marks a new milestone for the brand”, said General Manager Guy Klaiman. “It combines the Kempinski ethos of heritage, impeccable service, leisurely luxury, and superb European hospitality with our distinctive warmth and innovation. Our goal is to build a community and serve as a home base for our guests, a place they will want to return to whenever they visit the city.”

In addition to its culinary offerings, the hotel’s OKOA Spa houses 11 treatment rooms, including two couple rooms with Jacuzzis, a fully-equipped gym, a dry and wet sauna and a relaxation area. Manicure, pedicure and hair salon appointments are available through the in-house team of specialists. The David Kempinski Tel Aviv offers state-of-the-art meeting and banquet spaces with in-house catering by world-renowned chef Omri Magal that can accommodate up to 500 guests for private events, weddings, corporate conventions, and meetings of all kinds.
