Paul Gauguin Cruises is offering a sneak peek into their 2026 voyages for the Moana Explorer Program, designed for young guests on 11 summer and holiday voyages aboard the m/s Paul Gauguin. This complimentary program, unique among luxury lines exploring Tahiti, is entering its sixth year in partnership with Te mana o te moana, a South Pacific marine education and conservation foundation. It provides hands-on, interactive activities for children aged six to 15, focusing on the natural wonders and unique cultures of the region.
The Moana Explorer Program offers a range of activities, from learning about water pollution impacts to beach "Survivor" games, hiking volcanic mountains, and snorkeling in pristine lagoons with naturalists. It aims to go beyond traditional children’s programs by incorporating educational and fun activities led by local naturalists.
Depending on the itinerary, children might explore underwater life, conduct water experiments, create natural jewelry, go on treasure hunts, learn about Tahitian culture, discover island legends and geology, design their own Polynesian tattoo, and more. Susan Robison, General Manager of Sales and Marketing for Paul Gauguin Cruises, highlighted the program’s popularity and authenticity, while Hélène Duran, General Manager at Te mana o te moana, expressed excitement about continuing the partnership.
